NDT SERVICES:
RADIOGRAPHY TESTING
Radiography Testing works in the principle of penetrating waveforms commonly known as “ray”. Sources of this may be produced by either x-ray generator or gamma radiation. This ray can pass, absorbed and scatter through matter and eventually produce an image in a medium (film) called radiographs.
X-ray
Gamma Ray (Ir-192, Se-75)
Computed Radiography
ULTRASONIC TESTING
This technique uses varying high frequency and sound energy to conduct examination and measurement, it works through pulse waves launched into materials to detect internal flaws, to determine the thickness of the test object and monitor pipe work corrosion.
Phased Array
TOFD
Thickness Measurement
VACUUM TESTING
Or commonly known as bubble leak testing. This method is used to locate leaks in a pressure boundary accomplished by transparent vacuum box fixed to local area with bubble solution, the air inside is evacuated and allowed to stabilize creating pressure difference. The formation of bubbles signals leaks on the test item.
VISUAL TESTING
Visual testing is used in conjunction with all NDT methods and is used to control open surface flaw. This is known as the starting point of all Non Destructive Testing.
Videoscope (GE XLG3 with 6.5 meter probe cable)
Borescopy (XL Go)
MAGNETIC PARTICLE TESTING
MPI uses magnetic fields and small magnetic particles like iron fillings to detect flaws in components. The only requirement from an inspectability standpoint is that the component being inspected must be made of a ferromagnetic material that can be magnetized to a level that will allow the inspection to be effective.
DYE PENETRANT TESTING
is a method that is used to reveal surface breaking flaws by bleed-out of a colored or fluorescent dye from the flaw visible only through contrast penetrant or ultraviolet light.
HARDNESS TESTING
A method based on physical indentation pressed continuously into the material under a particular force, the hardness value is derived from energy loss defined by an impact body on a sample.
EDDY CURRENT
Uses electromagnetic induction to detect flaws in conductive materials. Eddy current can detect very small cracks in or near the surface of the material, the surfaces need minimal preparation, and physically complex geometry can be investigated.
OTHER SERVICES:
Positive Material Inspection
Positive material identification is also considered non destructive method used when material certificate is not available or simply to verify purchased high quality metals like stainless steels and metals containing high alloys. Akkila Company provides the XRF (x-ray fluorescence) technique, which uses very low radioactive sources or a low voltage x-ray generator, which sends out radiation and reflected back to generate the level of properties available.
X-MET 3000TX
Innov-X Alpha Series (with vacuum technology for testing light elements)
Pickling and Passivation
Powerful and effective stainless steel cleaning and treatment technique that uses chemicals to prevent oxide deposition, corrosion and extend its life. Passivation removes contamination left behind of the surface of stainless steel as a result during fabrication processes
Local Heat Treatment
Using heated pads connected to transformers or Local heat treatment machines, the metal improves resistance to strain induced fatigue during its actual operation.
Services Offered:
Local Post Weld Heat Treatment
Dry Out Method
Advance Heat Treatment (Miller ProHeat 35)
Borescopy
an equipment used to aid visual inspector to see and check hard to reach places with geometry and configurations considered inaccessible.
Services Offered:
Videoscope and Borescope
GE XL Go
GE Everest XLG3 (6.5 meter cable probe)
Welders Qualification
Welder’s Qualification Program, which include review and preparation of WPS, witnessing, documentation, Testing of coupons, and eventually certification of welders as per ASME, AWS, API, and ANSI codes.
SPRE
Small Proximity Radiation Exposure
Holiday Testing
Provides a reliable way to of detecting minute discontinuity in coating such as pinholes. The Inspection addresses continuity verification suitable in pipeline coating, tank works and structures, storage tanks and valves.
Services Offered:
Low Voltage
High Voltage
Heat Exchanger Inspection
AcousticEyeTM revolutionary system in heat exchanger inspection utilizes acoustic technology.
